The summer course was held as usual in Weston-Super-Mare at the end of July, with 5 days intensive training, including 6.30am beach training and 10.00-14.00 hours in the gymnasium.

Sensei Arthur Meek 8th Dan led the training and invited 3 guest instructors along to teach from Japan. Hijikata Sensei, Kawano Sensei, Tanemura Sensei, old boys of Nihon University karate club where he trained in early 1980’s for a year. 

The clubs had three students grading, unfortunately one passed and two failed, but lots to work on and a tough standard as always.
