The founder of the Aldershot club “Jion”, Sensei Graham Hopkins 6th Dan, sadly passed away in November 2026 at the age of 81. He had more letters after his name than most have in them & his list of achievements seemed endless. Brigadier. Colonel 3 Para. Queens House Physician, 6th Dan Wado Ryu Karate. Commanding Officer at Headley Court President & Founder of Army Martial Arts Association & Combined Services Martial Arts Association. Above all, he was a true gentleman & possibly the nicest person you could ever wish to meet. 

RIP Sensei Hopkins, the Aldershot class will continue in your memory.
